Click to Clacks

 A couple of unusual things found us on this Sunday in winter: a free day off, and new snow! So, we found a few friends, and headed out for a tour on the Catamount Trail - we're calling this one "Click to Clacks", or, in other words: Bolton to Trapps. This iconic ski tour had us climbing quite a bit up to the height of land, where we were rewarded with wonderful views, and then down through narrow, winding trails with sunshine, blue skies, and poofs of fresh powder snow. It was a great day and, thanks to an early start, we were out of the woods in time for lunch at the Res and a nap at home in the sunshine. Aren't Sundays in winter great?! We sure think so. Good friends and good turns

Our third day out getting the snow while its good!  The Catamount trail offers a great way to access some great BC skiing.  When good powder snow and good friends come together it's a beautiful thing.  Our only problem is the turns are so good no one wants to be a photographer!  Hah! I don't blame us.  So here's to the snow and your friends, now go out and get it while it's good!

Screwing and glueing; its that time of year.

Well its that most wonderful time of year where we anxiously await the coming of snow, although more than a few of us at the shop already have at least a couple days under our belts.  But mounting skis is an exciting time, full of happiness and well nausea as well.  As Co-workers help and heckle there's always fun to be had as the tension and jokes flow.  A six pack of beer or a few pints at the Three Penny Taproom is usually suffice to have someone lend an eye and guide the drill as to you make the binding find its way on top of your new ski!  So here's to winter and a steady hand!  and may you find yourself skiing or riding soon; or maybe you already have.
