Backyard Powder Day

What a great day to get out on skis. There still is not really enough for touring around in the woods, but the open fields around my house are great - especially the ones that got mowed late in the season. I had a great time with Odin checking out the local VAST trails and we found some great spots of fresh powder. I love that whoosh whoosh shoosh feeling - gliding through fresh powder. I hope everyone else found some powder, too!

                  It was only a matter of time before we wore off on him.

Turns out snack can earn his turns, here's to getting those powder turns.  It's sort of a tradition to Skin Wilderness at least ounce a week as the season goes.  We were not disappointed as we had great snow all the way down, matter of fact none of us could stop grinning even after we all went our separate ways.  Now that's a good time with good friends.

It couldn't have been a better monday to do alittle backcountry skiing. Silvia, Odin and I shared some great turns on a deep day in some of the most beautiful backcountry skiing Vermont has to offer and we had it all to ourselves! as to where our skin track led us?......Odin's not saying, Shhhhhhhhh...

Oh right and one powder hound.

Friends dont let friends ski alone on a powder day.

What a monday it turned out to be! 5 inches of fresh powder at the tips of our skis. I didn't realize it until I woke up but it being a holiday weekend there was definetley some Joey cholesterol on the mountain. All in all though it was an awesome half day of skiing with Katherine; heres to us!
